Joanna Pawelczyk

I studied Fine Art at Michaelis School of Art, graduating in 2011 with distinction, after which I plunged straight into full-time wedding photography. Wedding photography for me isn’t just a job, it’s a passion. I absolutely love every part of it – I love being creative and meticulous with my work, I love capturing precious moments and beautiful memories, and most of all I love being able to use my talent and skills to create happiness and joy in others.

I started doing art when I was 5 years old and I just never stopped. I continued art through high school, achieving the highest marks in my grade. This led me to art school where I worked with many different media,  eventually settling on photography as my major. Art has always been part of my life and I can’t imagine doing anything different.

When it comes to weddings I’m there for you. It’s your special day and I want you to be as comfortable as possible.  I will capture every moment and bring out the beauty in every setting through my natural, documentary-style photography.

I am based in Johannesburg but my work takes me all over the country! My portfolio includes Johannesburg, Pretoria, Limpopo, Durban, Newcastle, Cape Town and Zimbabwe and I have experience in weddings of all religions and ethnicities.
